Glorious Discussions Concerning Interactive Entertainment: Carcassone

November 1, 2011

We’re going to be doing a little something different for next week’s discussion. The next GDCIE will be Tuesday November 8, 2011 at 6:00pm in MC4058. We will be discussing:

Carcassone, by Klaus-Jürgen Wrede

That link’s probably not going to do you a lot of good. Carcassone is a board game. We’ve got the Paper Jam coming up in a couple weeks time (it’s going to be on November 19th), so in the spirit of providing inspiration or something we will be discussing games of a more physical variety for the next two GDCIEs. No one said we were exclusively an electronic game development club.

If you want to track down a copy of Carcassone (Math Soc should have one) and can find a group to have a game with, feel free to play it on your own. But if not, we’ve got you covered.

It’s not strictly necessary to play the game on your own time, because we will be playing the game at the discussion. We’ll talk about the game while, and after, we play it.

Nothing left to say,
Jonathan Semple
